About

Mr. Bradley believed that every senior citizen, including those unable to save for their own retirement, should be entitled to live out their golden years with comfort, dignity and peace of mind in a quality rest home.

Built in 1938 to serve the aged community of Central Connecticut, the Bradley home facilities stand tall upon the Meriden, Connecticut landscape. The Bradley Home is the legacy of the late Clarence Bradley, a wealthy industrialist of the City of Meriden who saw a need to provide senior citizens with a dignified living facility and the families of senior citizens with the comfort of a contract of caring for life. Although times have changed significantly since Mr. Bradley’s initial vision for the Bradley Home, the need for quality elder care has never been greater.

Today, The Bradley Home is still dedicated to providing comfort, security, and peace of mind to all of its residents. The staff of The Bradley Home pays close attention to detail and works hard to ensure that each individual resident need is met. Our Food Services Department prepares delicious, fresh-made meals each day and provides a truly upscale dining experience. Our Recreation Department hosts a series of enjoyable activities each day to promote physical, social, and mental well-being. We have a friendly Nursing staff on hand at all hours to provide care for residents needing assistance. Additionally, The Bradley Home features a beauty salon with two licensed hairdressers and a convenience store for residents to purchase various toiletries and items. These services allow residents to maintain independence without needing to leave the comfort of their home.

The Bradley Home and Pavilion currently consists of two levels of care licensed by the State of Connecticut:

  • Our Residential Care Unit houses 74 private rooms, allowing each resident privacy and independence in a nurturing and supportive retirement community.
  • Our Skilled Nursing Unit houses 30 beds for elderly residents of varying ages and ability levels, and ensures optimum geriatric medical supervision, extended care and hospice care.

To add to the comforting, home-like atmosphere of our facilities, The Bradley Home also features two beautiful courtyards, each adorned with flowers, greenery, and outdoor seating. Our halls are currently in the process of renovations, and the outcome is sure to provide a balance of our Victorian-style designs and modern lighting and appeal.
